MISSION STATEMENT

The strategic mission of the group is to preserve and communicate to the general public the historical experience of Long Island’s rail transportation history through means of historic artifacts and buildings, either in working or static condition.

Education will play a vital role in our endeavor. This would take the form of work programs to gain experience in renewing buildings and rolling stack, intern credit, or college level research in various disciplines.

The Oyster Bay Railroad Museum is proud to bring you the online reprint of

Displayed Steam Locomotives, Their Care and Maintenance
