The Oyster Bay Railroad Museum
has open a preview center in Oyster Bay. While
work is in progress on the former LIRR station
and our display yard, the preview center will act
as a place where we can invite the public to get
to know us.
A selection of informative, entertaining
exhibits have been set up to give a brief history
of the Long Island Rail Road in general and the
significance of Oyster Bay to it specifically.
On January 30, 2008 we held the official
opening ceremony of the preview center and on
February 2, 2008 a public opening was held. Below
are some photos from the official ceremony.
